The vast majority of the historic station photographs located at the top of each town page were compiled by Gary LaPointe on his website, Railroad Stations in New Hampshire and in Massachusetts.

All of the older USGS topographic maps of towns and cities seen around my website were sourced from the UNH Library Government Information Department.

The October 1908 timetables that can be found on each of the division and branch pages were copied out of the ABC Pathfinder Railway Guide. An online version of this book, which contains timetables from other lines and railroads, can be found here, courtesy of Google Books.

Located on each division and branch page is a brief history of how that route came to be, and I got that information from two sources. The first, The Rail Lines of Northern New England by Robert M. Lindsell, copyright 2000, is about the railroads in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The second, The Rail Lines of Southern New England by Ronald Dale Karr, copyright 1995, is about the railroads in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
